Avengers: Infinity War review (Spoilers!)

Avengers: Infinity War
The third Avengers film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Thanos goes about gathering the Infinity Stones in pursuit of his genocidal plan. Power. The Power Stone, is obtained in backstory. (Did the Guardians tell Thor where it was bestowed, or did they try to get into contact with the Nova Corps, and he found out that way?) Space. The Tesseract. Loki did save it before Surtur destroyed Asgard, but that doesn't save him from Thanos. A rather effective scene. Thanos saying “No resurrections this time” is rather impactful...
Reality. The Aether, which Asgard had sent to the Collector. But the reality appears to be that wasn't effective enough. It's certainly a painful reality for Peter Quill, when Gamora is captured by Thanos as a result! The scenes in (what's left of) the Collector's base on Knowhere were also very effective (especially at showing Quill's anguish). Soul. Of course, Peter would be more anguished when he finds out what had happened next. The Soul Stone requiring a sacrifice to gain is very effectively portrayed...
Time. The Eye of Aggamotto, which Dr. Strange is sworn to protect. But time was running out from the time when Banner landed in the Sanctum. Everything the Avengers were doing after this was simply delaying the inevitable. (Especially after a misunderstanding causes a fight between the Avengers and the Guardians on Titan...) Mind. Vision. It all comes down to an endgame in Wakanda as they try to protect Vision. The battle in Wakanda was portrayed rather well, but it all comes to naught, as Thanos achieves his goal. 9.25/10.

52 Tales of 2018 - Reverse Map Game 2018 - 1856: 'Dusk'

Americas
United States
Midgard County native language statistics.
Minnesota Norse 91%
English 6%
Other 3%
(Doesn't indicate numbers of those who are bilingual)

The proportion of Minnesota Norse speakers in eastern Minnesota overall, the number drops below 51%.
In Minnesota overall, the number drops below 28%.
Within the US overall (excluding Minnesota) it drops below 7%.

The proportion of Wisconsin Norse speakers in Wisconsin drops below 0.9%.

East Dakota is admitted to the Union as a State.

An uprising by natives in Kansas is defeated.

However, the rise of the Democratic-Republican party continues unabated. In the campaign for the Presidential election, their rhetoric shocks the supporters of the other parties. The Federalists attempt to denounce that rhetoric as 'unhelpful'. After-all the United States had always been welcoming to those who wanted to immigrate there, they said. (Not entirely true, but not entirely false either).
But it is the Union of Rationally thinking Americans that oppose the Democratic-Republicans the most. They agree on some things, but the Rationalists are more pragmatic. Non-whites can come, but they have to assimilate (for instance).
The Federalists are continuing to lose support, with President Malcolm Scott seen as an ineffective buffoon. An attempt at renegotating trade barriers with Quebec had fallen through early in the year.

Other
The war between the Scots and the Siberians in the frozen north continues.

In the southern cone, Tuscany abandons an outpost that is now deemed 'surperfluous'.

Europe

Tensions rise between Austria and the Three Sicilies.

More interesting discoveries are made by European explorers.

Asia
The war in Korea continues.
