Under the Lake review

Under The Lake
Toby Whithouse writes a rather suspenseful 'base under seige' episode, the first half of a two-parter. There are plenty of good moments, although the idea of the 'ghosts' gives one the shudders. (Certainly, I don't think they're operating the way the Doctor thinks they are, but he has been wrong before). There are many other interesting tidbits, (such as at least two Star Trek references), and some of the characters were well realised. But not all of them. The Corporate guy was a bit grating (definitely one dimensional).
The part where the Doctor tells Clara that there is only room for one him in the TARDIS is good. It is more exciting than the previous two, leaving some questions that I hope will be answered in the next part. (What happens to the Doctor? And what is really behind the 'ghosts'?) Also some that may be answered later. (When does the Doctor go back to the screwdriver? What is Clara's recklessness leading to?) 8/10.
