“You’re new here?”

“Just moved to Macquarie Vale. I needed to find a Church.”

“This is a good place for fellowship. It’s growing and the messages are always firmly based in Scripture,” Daniel said.

“That’s good,” Benjamin said. He considered that he had followed the Lord’s leading to the place where He wanted him to go.

He knew that learning a new language was difficult! As he rubbed the sore spot, he considered that he was still nervous himself. He looked back to her and saw that she was starting to breath quicker.
He grabbed her hands in a comforting gesture. Relax. She calmed down, and the spark returned to her eyes. He decided that it was time. No point in delaying it. He then asked if she would like a dance.
She agreed with a nod, of course. They then walked to the dance floor hand in hand.
‘This will be a good night,’ he thought as they rubbed each other’s lower cheeks while dancing slowly.

“What’s the matter, son?” Quark asked as he lead Jake to one of the holosuites.

“Nothing you’d understand,” Jake shot back.

“Nog told me about the writing assignment. I understand plenty. You want to impress Mrs. O’Brien, is that it?”

“Yes. But I don’t think a Ferengi mindset would help me here.”

“What do you mean?” Quark asked, slightly offended. Hu-mon’s! Always thinking they’re better than everyone else!

“I mean. I’ve looked at your inventory of holo-programs. The one’s that are suitable for all ages I mean.”

“And?”

“And they are all based on similar storylines. Only the characters and settings are different.”

“People buy what they like. So, the writers write what they like. Simple business sense.”
“Is that a Rule of Acquisition?”

“No,” Quark admitted with a shake of his head. “But it should be. But I don’t think Zek would want to add it.”

“Back to my point. I suppose almost all of Ferengi entertainment is full of the same storylines that are rehashed every so often to capture the market of a new generation with latinum to spend?”

“You’re right. You know, you’re surprisingly astute in this matter.”

“Look at Earth’s history. You’ll find that the film industry in California was like that from the late 20th century onwards,” Jake said as they arrived at the holosuite.

That was something that hadn’t happened for a while, probably not more than once since her last regeneration. “Correct,” Janeway said. “Is there any reason why I shouldn't?”

“No, you shouldn't,” the Doctor said. “Not right away.”

“Otherwise the phenomenon will expand back along our path,” Janeway said.

“Yes.”

“I'll have to confer with my officers.”

“Of course.”

Ten minutes later, the officers, the Doctor and his two travelling companions were in the Observation Lounge. The Doctor introduced his companions, and then got to business.

“Before you ask; yes, I have encountered something like this before,” he said.

“So it should be easy to deal with, right?” Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres asked.

The Doctor scoffed. “Define 'easy'. The one I dealt with hadn't existed as long as this one has. I found out later that the effect had propagated back through the Vortex to places I had been just before-hand.”

“So, dealing with this phenomenon would be more difficult?” Commander Chakotay asked.

“Yes,” the Doctor answered.

“It’s vanished.”

“Well, we can still find a restaurant or pub…” Clara suggested.

“Of course,” the Doctor responded.

They soon arrived in the Main Street, and found a restaurant that was open, at the Services Club. There didn’t appear to many to choose from. “Want to have Dinner rather than lunch?” the Doctor asked.

“Maybe just an entrée,” Dani answered.

“I will,” Clara said, with a mischievous smile on her face.

“Three for Oswald,” Clara said as she came up to the counter.

“There are many tables available tonight, Ms. Oswald,” the lady behind the counter said.

“We don’t get Poms here often.”

“Pom?” Dani asked.

“A colloquial term for someone from England,” the Doctor answered.

They sat a table near other groups of people. (So as to overhear any details of strange happenings.) There was a television tuned to one of the news channels.

“There’s another katana here,” Clara suggested.

“You think I would be only one armed?” Kamasagi taunted.

“Of course not,” the geisha said. Another armed geisha emerged from the kitchen.

Excerpt from: Changes in Time and Space (revision 2)
Meanwhile Felicia was thinking... It appeared that the TARDIS wanted to communicate with her in some way. The level (as it were) seemed different. It was certainly different to when she translated languages. (She knew, for instance, the Sigrun and Jia'hale spoke different Earth languages most of the time, rather than English).

“Where is Felicia?” Sabir asked a minute later. He wondered if she had wandered off without them and possibly required rescue.

“She's still in the TARDIS,” Jia'hale added. “She was lingering in the console room in a thoughtful mood.”

“We'll wait a little longer,” the Doctor decided. “Then I'll go back and ask if she wants to come. It wouldn't be the first time someone stayed behind.”

They waited a little longer.

Europe
After years of increasing tensions and increasing output of propaganda, Heidler finally declares war on France, the Netherlands, Denmark and Hungary on a trumped up casus belli. It may have been a French observation balloon accidentally crossing the border that set off the War in Europe, but German forces had been ready for weeks...

The French and Hungarians were prepared, but that doesn't mean that the Dutch and Danes were.
Even so, the German forces are able to capture more than half of Hungary, with the government fleeing to Szeged as Budapest fell.

Of course, Poland and it's puppets declare war on Russia almost immediately.

Yes. We’ll be there in half an hour.”

“That will be good.”

I’ll see you later.”

Peta put the phone back in her pocket and opened the gate. ‘Strange, It should be locked,’ she thought.

“That would be obvious,” Leigh said.

“And she's on the warpath,” Corrine added. “...And I suspect that she might be more angry once she knows I'm here.”

“So, what do we need to do?” Di asked.

Corrine handed a printout and CD to Leigh. “Two things. Leigh and I will try to save Clarissa from being shaved, and you will distract Kristia.”

“Got it,” Di said. “How hard can that be?”

Meanwhile, an alert had gone off in Austin's Main Room, frazzling Kristia's already frayed nerves. “Temporal Incursion!” Cath reported.

Kristia had been trying to keep track of the Mara Green agents. “Not again! Why is Mara Green getting all this help from the future?”

“I have no idea,” Cath answered.

“You, stay here. I'll find the time traveller.”

Sigrun had also had said that the Azores in 2018 were relatively conservative for the period. So she had dressed similarly to Sigrun and then left the wardrobe. As she entered the console room she saw Felicia wandering around the console in thought. She didn’t notice that she had entered. ‘Ok, I’ll just hop outside and wait for her with the others,’ she thought, as she approached the outer door.

“There you are, Jia,” the Doctor said, as she saw her companion from Tossekia IV exit the TARDIS.

“So what are we going to do? Are we looking for trouble?” she asked.

“Possibly,” the Doctor said, with a cheeky tone.

“Absolutely, that is what the Doctor does usually,” Daniel said.

“Most likely,” Sabir said.

“We are going to find some kind of trouble then?” Jia’hale asked, knowing that the Azores probably won’t be peaceful for much longer. The Doctor then had a thoughtful look on her face; she knew that she had spoken truthfully.

Sabir said cheerfully. “She usually agrees with me.”

“For certain,” Daniel said as an afterthought. Sigrun walked over to them, and waited with them for the others.

Agitated, Jia'hale re-entered the console room. Again with Earth! The TARDIS hadn’t been to her home planet since before it began going off course! She hoped that situation would change soon. She had just been to the wardrobe, and had been pleased to remove the toga she had to wear in Rome, and put on something more comfortable. She would have been happy to leave the TARDIS with nothing. But the Doctor had said (more than once) that the majority of places wouldn't have tolerated that sort of behaviour.
