The same for the Hill people.

And the Minecraft villagers.

Neuva Castille grows slowly. Some exploration occurs.

The Inca continue to grow and expand.

The Kingdom of Liuyu continues to grow.

Excerpt from: The Heroic Seniors

“House? More like a Base!” Ron said.

“Base?” Senior asked. “Oh, I do not like the sound of that. It’s too… bland.”

“This place screams ‘base’. It’s on a private island that isn’t on any map.”

Excerpt from: The Youngest Barksdale

‘Something’s certainly happening,’ Daria thought.

They entered the school and saw that most of the students were wearing the school colors, yellow and blue. “So, what’s happening?” Daria asked.

“Someone won a contest that they were entered into by Mr. O’Neill,” Scarlett answered.

“I see,” Daria said. “But that’s not all, is it?”

“No. They were entered into the contest without consent, and now they have to play host to a vapid magazine editor visiting the school,” Scarlett explained. She looked around. “Here they come now.”

Daria saw the magazine editor immediately. She was wearing clothing entirely inappropriate for her age and had dyed blonde hair. That was in contrast to student she was accompanying, who was wearing dark clothing and Eye of Horus makeup. She looked quite annoyed.

The student ran up to Scarlett and Daria, the magazine editor powerwalking behind. “Scarlett!” she said.

“Andrea,” Scarlett said. “This is Daria, she started here yesterday.”

“Hi, Daria, I saw you in class, but I was preparing for Val’s visit,” she said in apology as she indicated the magazine editor who had caught up with them.

“Hey, Drey, introduce me to your friends, would you,” the magazine editor, Val, requested.

“This is Scarlett, and that’s Daria.”

Val put out her hand to take Scarlett’s. “Hi! I’m Val! As in Val!”

‘Great! She named the magazine after herself,’ Daria thought. “Hi.”

“Are you Drey’s friend?”

Excerpt from: Adventures of Asteroid Station Delroy

‘I wouldn’t be so if the station is better.’

“The arboretum,” Davies said.

Andromeda walked in and saw that it did look better than those on the other two stations, having a wider variety of species. She smiled and danced around several of the trees before coming back up to Davies. She enjoyed the confused look on her face.

“What?” Davies asked.

“I like dancing,” Andromeda said simply.

“Right. We shall continue then.”

“Sure.”

Excerpt from: An Aquatic Second Contact

“They’re hailing,” Shax said.

“On Screen!” the captain ordered.

This is Captain Ma’ah of the Klingon Ship Che’Ta, to the Federation Starship in this system. I request permission to come alongside.”

“This is Captain Carol Freeman, of the USS Cerritos, Permission granted.”

Acknowledged, Che’Ta out.”

“Something’s certainly happening,” Commander Jack Ransom commented.

“I agree.” Freeman said.

“I have found the station, Captain,” Shax said.

“Good,” the Captain said. “Ensign Boimler! Prepare for docking.”

“Aye, Captain,” Ensign Bradward Boimler said.

IKS Che’Ta

Captain Ma’ah brought up the information on the planet on his PADD. It was certainly interesting that there was an almost entirely aquatic civilisation.

“The Cerritos has docked,” his first officer reported.

“Request docking clearance at the same station.”

“Yes, Captain.”

USS Cerritos

“The Che’ta has also docked,” Ensign Barnes reported.

“Inform Captain Ma’ah that I’ll meet him on the station.”

“This is good,” she said.

“Elsa!” It was Anna.

‘Conceal, not feel!’ Elsa thought as heart beat faster at the sound of her sister’s voice. “Anna.”

“Everything is nearly ready,” she said.

“I can see that,” Elsa responded. ‘Uh oh!’ She saw some reporters approaching.

Anna saw Elsa go a little (more) pale. “Elsa?”

“Princess Elsa!” one of the reporters called out.

“Yes?” Elsa asked quietly.

“How do you feel about the Coronation?”

“Um, no comment,” Elsa said coldly, before dashing off.

“Princess Anna.”

“I’m excited, that the Palace is coming alive again, so to speak. The regency has been, distant, from the people of Arendelle. Queen Elsa will be more active,” she said. At least, that was what she hoped.

“Thanks, Princess Anna.”

Excerpt from: The Christmas Case

“You have found the right place,” Haru answered.

“It’s smaller than I expected,” the newcomer said.

“It’s not the size of the building that counts,” the Baron responded.

“Of course not,” the newcomer said.

“I am Baron Humbert von Grikkengen and that’s Haru.”

“I’m Tadano, Tadano Keiko.”

“Join us for tea,” the Baron said. “And fill us in.”

“This is good tea,” Keiko said after a sip.

“It’s my special blend,” the Baron explained. “It’s a little different each time.”

“Really?” Keiko asked.

“Yes,” the Baron answered. “But why are you here?”

“It’s silly really.”

“Sorry.”

“Everyone gets it wrong,” Jamie said.

“I’ll try to get it right,” Quinn said. She wanted to say more, that she knew what it was like to be referred to by the wrong name. ‘No, not yet,’ she thought.

Daria left Quinn and her posse behind. She was happy for Quinn, but did notice her response to Jamie. ‘Sorry sis.’

Between classes, Quinn overheard talk of a party.

“You're on the team, dudes. When a cheerleader has a party, all the football players are automatically invited,” Kevin Thompson said.

“It's on page six of the play book,” Mack Mackenzie added sarcastically.

Kevin turned to Quinn as she came up. “Hey, Quinn, what about you?”

She wasn’t sure. “Can I?”

“Sure!”

Quinn then saw that Jamie and his friends were there.

“Will you go out with me?” Jamie asked.

“Will you go out with me?” Joey asked right after him.

Excerpt from: Down the Wormhole

The Dragon Riders discover the Portal almost immediately. They decide to keep it a secret (although they do inform Stoick). Dragons start migrating through the portal. Hiccup and the Riders have to deal with Viggo Grimborn and the traitorous Johann, before preliminary forays through the portal are performed.

With the Riders return to Berk and their fight against Drago Bludvist, the portal is forgotten, but dragons continue to migrate through.

However, when the threat of Grimmel the Grisly arises, Hiccup decides to take the Berkians through the portal instead of leading them in search of the Hidden World.

With this misdirect, Grimmel and the warlords head off to the west, while the Berkians head off north-east to the Outpost Island.

It takes time for Grimmel to realise his mistake, having used the island that would otherwise have been New Berk as a base, but not discovering the Hidden World himself.

The Berkians establish New Berk on the other side of the portal, with the portal itself encased in a inside out fortress.

Grimmel scours the Archipelago for where the Berkians went before discovering the Outpost Island (where a few Berkians had been keeping watch in the former Dragons Edge). He attacks,  but the defences on the other side of the portal hold. A week after Grimmel’s attacks commence, the portal collapses.

The Berkians and their dragons make the most of it in the new world. Hiccup and Astrid are married and Zephr and Nuffink are born. (Not the only ones, and the Nightlights are also hatched).

The portal opens in the Westfarthing in 1430 SR. The Shire had mostly recovered by the Scouring by this time, and the population pressures that would lead to the addition of the Westmarch are already making themselves known. Several settlements are established (with about 3000 Hobbits) before the portal collapses in 1435 SR.

One Took (one of Peregrin’s cousins) is present on the other side when the portal collapses, and reluctantly accepts the position of Thain of the Newfarthing.

The Portal opens shortly after the Battle of the Eureka Stockade. The colonial authorities report the find to London. In the following five years, colonisation of the true terra nullius beyond the portal would proceed.

Excerpt from: Thirteen and Sixteenth

The Doctor entered the console room, to find Xavier already there. “The TARDIS says that we’re about to land,” Xavier said.

“That’s great!” the Doctor said. They had been in the vortex for a while. She checked the screen. “Somewhere on Earth, in the early 21st Century.”

“Boring,” Xavier commented.

“True, but Earth seems to be the centre of everything.”

The TARDIS then landed.

“Tokyo, 2018?” Xavier asked.

“Interesting, I have been here before,” the Doctor commented with a twirl of a pigtail.

“Been here, as in at this time?” Xavier asked.

“Yes,” the Doctor answered.

“We’re not alone here,” Ian realised. “And now we have to rescue her.”

Excerpt from: Sandi’s Struggle

First class was Science, where Ms. Barch had taken the opportunity provided by Sandi’s condition to further her misandrist agenda. She pointed to the blackboard where she had drawn a diagram of the human respiratory system. “Sandi, I’d like you to show me where the Larynx is,” she said.

Sandi glared at the teacher. ‘Quinn would be much better choice,’ she thought. She went up anyway and pointed to a spot above where the passages from the lungs connected.

“Very good, Sandi. That is the where the sounds of our voice are usually produced. That is where you have an infection and are inflamed.”

Sandi frowned.

“I’m making a point here,” the teacher said.

Sandi knew what point the teacher was making, and many of the boys in the class groaned.

“I heard that!” Barch said. “I wish it were one of you, instead of Sandi up here. In fact, I wish that all males were mute!”

Sandi tapped the board, where she had pointed out the Larynx earlier.

“What’s that?” Barch asked.

Sandi grabbed the chalk and wrote: How does voice box work?

“I was getting to that,” the teacher said. “You can go to your desk now.”

Sandi breathed a sigh of relief.

“You did well up there, Sandi,” Quinn said.

‘Really?’ Sandi wondered. How would Quinn do if she didn’t have a voice? She realised that she wouldn’t wish it on her. She shrugged.

“No!” she cried.

“Doctor!” Xavier cried out as several of the drones fired nets onto him.

“I will rescue you!” the Doctor shouted as they were pushed further apart. She turned away, her eyes burning with annoyance and stalked towards her destination.

She slammed the door open. “I have read your plan,” she stated to the nondescript person behind the desk. “I know how to interfere with it. Holding Xavier hostage won’t dissuade me!”

“Ah, Doctor. Or, yet another version thereof.”

“I may have recently regenerated, but I have my full faculties, I assure you.”

“I didn’t doubt that.”

“Now, why have you put your plan in motion?”

“I’m not the one who put it into motion. I’m only in charge of the aspects directed from this building.”

“Of course. But I am asking you to reconsider,” the Doctor said.

“No.”

“I should warn you. I have notified UNIT. A detachment should arrive shortly. I would rather have this resolved peacefully.”

The Temesis was winding more as they approached the city. Katherine wondered why they had changed to the river earlier. Nimue hadn’t given much of an answer, other than that there was too much traffic on the Road. “I can see, something,” she said.

“We’ll be there by sunset,” Nimue said as the boat finished rounding the bend.

“Good,” Katherine said. The City was impressive, with the relatively new construction outside the walls sprawling towards them.

They pulled up to a dock shortly before sunset to find Merlinus waiting for them. He came on board. “Very good, Nimue,” he said with a smile, before saying. “Katherine Robertius. I thought you’d look a little older.”

Katherine nodded. “I’m sorry that I caused a problem for the Empire.”

“You did what you thought was right, but you can help us quell the unrest,” Merlinus said.

Katherine wasn’t sure how she could, but nodded anyway. “Sure.”

Nimue secured the boat to the dock and followed Merlinus and Katherine into the city. She was also unsure how Katherine would help quell the crisis. But then, there were many things Merlinus didn’t tell her.

Peter turned to see the Asian American women coming towards him. “Angela Li, is it?” he asked. He resisted the urge to compare her to J. Jonah Jameson.

Coultard's story was a little unusual (and unsettling), but Daria took it in her stride. 'Maybe once this situation is resolved, we could talk?' she wondered. It was a possibility.

Then there was a third act.

The night was still young, but Daria was tired. However, she knew her turn was coming.

“Brittany Taylor!”

“Very strange,” he commented. He took out the sonic and ran a scan. It was inconclusive. “What do you mean inconclusive?” He ran another scan. It still said the same thing.

Clara and Lauren watched the screen with concern. The Doctor was getting annoyed with the sonic scans. “I think I know what he’s going to do next,” she said.

“And that is?” Lauren asked.

“He’s going to try to get as close as possible without them affecting him.”

“I see,” Lauren said.

The Doctor came close to the lights, but they then vanished. “Strange.” He ran another scan. Everything was normal. “Maybe the TARDIS would make better sense of it.”

Agent U knew that Agent M had appraised her when they had greeted. All Human agents did. She had gotten used to it. She couldn’t fault her for that. To the contrary, she looked forward to working with her to solve the problem. She had read up on the available information on Agent M’s previous missions. She arrived at the aquatic portion of the servery.

“What will it be, Agent U? The usual?”

“Yes.”

Agent M found Agent U laying on one of the special couches next to one of the tables. She raised an eyebrow at the design as she took a seat.

“You like the design?” Agent U asked.

“It’s interesting,” Agent M said.

“It’s also practical. Human chairs are not ergonomic for us Mers, nor for most of the aquatic aliens.”

Agent M nodded.

“So, it started several months ago. Strange requisitions, various Mers and aliens going missing and the rumors,” Agent U disclosed.

Agent M knew that was what Agent O had sent her for. “That is what the briefing package said.”

“There is more.”

“Of course.”

“Some of the missing Mers sent me messages, that they had been threatened by persons unknown shortly before they disappeared.”

Excerpt from: Encounters in London

“Or maybe we could now?” Clara asked.

“That's a good idea,” the Doctor considered. “We'll go to one of the earlier ones,” he added as he set the TARDIS in motion.

However, it seemed the ship had other plans. “Wait, this isn't one of the New Paris's,” the Doctor said.

“Where?” Clara asked as she looked at the screen.

“London in the early 17th Century,” the Doctor answered.

“Or maybe, London. We'll go to New Paris later.”

“I suppose.”

They emerged from the ship and saw that they were near the City. 'Of course.'

“I've heard that people who look into various eras go missing.”

“But those are just rumors, right?”

“Yes, but there may be some truth to it,” Oliana said.

“I guess so,” Ellenia said.

She wrote ‘n’.

“An,” Tamsin said, drawing out the ‘a’. “Anne?”

The girl shook her head and added another ‘a’ to what she had written.

“Ana?” Tamsin asked.

The girl wrote some more.

“Analise?” Tamsin asked.

The girl, Analise, nodded.

The Doctor entered the TARDIS to find the console room decorated in streamers. “What is this.”

Tamsin emerged from behind the console, with the girl beside her. “Doctor. May I introduce you to Analise.”

“Analise? As good a name as any I suppose.”

Analise ducked behind Tamsin, while hiding her face.

“Doctor! It took a while to figure it out.” Tamsin said with slight annoyance. “Apologise to her.”

“Sorry, for that response. I can be careless at times,” the Doctor said. He seemed to remember something (linked to that Clara he had forgotten), but he shook his head as he came up to the console. “So, Analise? Where do you want to go?”

Analise considered the Doctor’s question. Was there somewhere she wanted to go? She certainly didn’t want to go home. And where-ever they did go, she wanted to go out with Tamsin without the Doctor. She wrote that down and gave it to Tamsin.

Tamsin read it out to the Doctor.

“You want Tamsin to do what I do?” the Doctor asked.

Analise nodded.

“That may be difficult.”

“Wow, Aunt Amy is really weird,” Quinn said.

“Yeah,” Daria said.

Was that admiration in Daria’s tone? ‘Possibly,’ she thought with a glance at her niece.

The actual ceremony went well enough, but the reception would be disastrous. Amy listened as her brother in-law and potential brother in-law talked. “So they said to me, ‘Why don't we just make you VP and have you take over the whole damn operation?’ And here I was, 29 years old.”

Excerpt from: Mysteries on the Frontier Stations:

The next day, Europa awoke early. As she prepared herself for the day, she thought back on the previous day. The tour was good enough, but that mysterious person had thrown her for a loop. She dressed similarly to the previous day, but decided to wear her hair in simple ponytail rather than the complicated braid she had worn for the journey. ‘There!’ she said. With how long her hair was it was quite rare that she tried a simple style. It got tangled easily.

“Oh!” Merry responded.

“He seemed quite insistent,” Mimosa added.

“He may have seen us,” Estella said, letting go of his hand.

“I don’t think that is it,” Mimosa said.

“Something else,” Merry said. “He’s in his office, right?”

“Yes.”

Merry turned to Estella, grabbing both her hands. “I’ll see you later.”

“Certainly,” She said with a smile, while closing her eyes briefly. They touched their foreheads together briefly, then Merry was gone.

“I’m happy for you two,” Mimosa said.

“Thanks,” Estella said with a blush.

Merry rushed through the smial towards his father’s office. Normal smials didn’t have multiple levels, but Bucky Hall did, occupying the entirety of the Hill above the highest recorded Brandywine floods. He ran several flights of stairs to the level at the top of the hill.

Excerpt from: Daria and Change

Daria didn’t know why they were testing the two of them together, but she was grateful that Quinn would be able to offer support if she needed it.

“Now, Quinn, what do you see here?”

“It’s a picture of two people talking.”

“That's right. Can you make up a little story about what it is they're discussing?”

“Oh. Okay, then. Let's see... they've been going out for a while, and he's upset because other people keep asking her out, and she saying she can't help it if she's attractive and popular, and besides, nobody ever said they were going steady, and if he does want to go steady he's got to do a lot better than movie, burger, back seat, movie, burger, back seat, because there are plenty of guys with bigger back seats waiting to take her someplace nice!”

Daria sighed quietly. Leave it to Quinn to think up something frivolous.

“Very good, Quinn! Now, Dora, let's see if you can make up a story as vivid as your sister's.”

‘Dora?’ Daria thought. At least it was a female name. Even so, misnaming raised a (small) red flag. “It’s Daria.”

“I'm sorry... Daria. What do you see in the picture, Dara?”

‘Don’t forget the ‘I’!’ she thought. But she decided to take a page out of Quinn’s book. Frivolity. “Let’s see. It is two sisters, who after taking a psychological exam, talked about how the exam seemed to be easy to take.”

Manson just took some notes.

Daria smirked. She did use some of her wit afterall.

“So, we are going to talk about how it was easy to take?” Quinn asked as they left the counsellor’s office.

“If you want to,” Daria said as she looked at her time table. “It was something like your ‘Movie, Burger, Backseat,’ example.

“Like I wouldn’t actually do that,” Quinn said.

“I know.”

“So, which class do you have first. I have Language Arts.”

“History,” Daria answered.

“I’ll see you after school, then, sis,” Quinn said as she walked off with a wave.

Anthony DeMartino saw the new student enter his class. He waited until she took her seat. “Class, we have a new student joining us today. Please welcome Daria Morgendorffer. Daria, raise your hand, please.”

Daria raised her hand.

Mysteries on the Space Stations - 5 Lunar Station Armidale

 5 Lunar Station Armidale

Ariadne considered that the station did look similar terms of interior design. This was especially true in the Concourse area. “No new designs?” she asked.

“Hardly any,” Brown-Samuels said.

“So, there are some?” Ariadne asked.

“Somewhere, but I’m not sure where.”

“Let’s start then,” Ariadne said as she looked around the concourse which she considered did look like the other Concourse rotated 90 degrees.

“We’ll start with the Laboratories.”

“Cool. They’re sure to be state of the art.”

Ariadne found that the labs were slightly better than those on the other station. ‘But then they were upgraded last year.’

“Next will be the Library,” Brown-Samuels said.

“Is it larger than the one on the other?”

“Not only that, but it also has a high-speed connection to the Lunanet.”

“That’s good. Like the two second latency to Earth would be a little annoying,” Ariadne said with a little humour. “Unlike the other outposts elsewhere in the system.”

“Apparently, there are now more than 100000 people living outside the Earth-Moon system.”

“I knew there were tens of thousands.”

Ariadne entered the library, which looked like the other station’s library, except it was larger and had more books. She accessed a terminal and looked up an Earth-bound site which she was sure didn’t have a Lunaside mirror. Sure enough, there was the two second delay. She shrugged and turned to Brown-Samuels. “I’d like to settle in now,” she said.

“Of course,” Brown-Samuels said.

The accommodation was similar to that of the other station, there being single rooms similar to the university residences. Ariadne found that her luggage had been placed next to the bed. ‘Good.’

Having unpacked, Ariadne went to the Main Dining Hall. This too looked like the one in the other station. She sighed. Again.

…Ariadne?”

“Sorry, I was thinking about the how similar the stations again,” Ariane said to her friend, Astrid Andersson, who was back in Armidale.

That’s OK.”

“So, you were saying?”

So, I said that I will get to go to the new station next term.

“That’s good.”

I just have to come up with a project.”

“I’m sure you can come up with one soon.”

Astrid gave a smile. “Thanks. That reminds me, I have been working on something that may qualify.

“That’s good.”

After the chat with Astrid, Ariadne wandered the station, knowing that she wouldn’t get lost. “Oh to copy a design made many decades ago. Why not come up with something new?” she wondered. ‘Hmm, I may have something there,’ she thought. She did dabble in poetry and creative writing. “Oh to copy a design made many decades ago. Why not come up with something new? Was it to save money? … No, that doesn’t work.” She wrote it down anyway.

Putting the dataslate back in the case, she tried again.

“Oh, to copy a design made many decades ago. Why not come up with something new?

Or would it be a copy of something else? Have all the practical designs been used?

…”

Excerpt from: Mariner on the Run

Beckett Mariner wasn’t having a good day. Not that she had many good days. She had been sent to Starbase 80. The shuttle ride from the Delos System was horrid. It was hard to believe that the two men were Starfleet Officers. But she could take that in her stride. She could see that they had been more burned out by the War than she had been. But the state of the Starbase itself. It was worse than all the rumors about it, like it hadn’t been upgraded since it was built nearly a century before. “Is this, really what this place is like?” she asked in shock.

“That isn’t a word I would use,” T’Lyn retorted. “’Intriguing’ would be more appropriate.”

“I suppose you could say that. But I would say interesting and another Vulcan would say ‘fascinating’…”

T’Lyn rolled her eyes. Tendi’s rambling was, distracting, at the best of times. “You interrupted my log entry.”

“Oh, sorry. You can continue.”

She pressed resume on the PADD. “The humanoids are aquatic, resembling the Merfolk of ancient Human myths and legends. They live mostly in the water, with the various islands given over to what industry cannot be conducted under the waves. Upon arrival Cerritos will conduct the usual Second Contact procedures, while Ensign Tendi and I will assist with the addition of their biological knowledge of their planet, along with their astronomical knowledge of their system that of the Federation, as a basis point for future dual surveys.” She paused.

“Log complete.”

“That’s not all we’ll be doing,” Tendi said.

“Certainly not.”

D’Vana Tendi looked out of the window of the conference room and saw that Cerritos had dropped out of warp and was approaching Theta Aquarii II. She supposed that she needed to find out the most common local name for it, before anything else. She was certain she would learn it before too long.

“We’re being hailed by at least three different stations, Captain,” Lieutenant Shax reported.

“Find the one the Rhea contacted,” Captain Freeman ordered.

“Yes, sir,” Shax said. “Wait. There’s a Klingon Bird of Prey entering the system!”

“What!”
