Excerpt from: Spider-Man and the Mad Man in a Box
“No!” Spider-Man cried out. He barely managed to escape
the resultant explosion. “That's not fair!” he said as he shot a web towards
the villain in response.
The villain ducked and the web missed.
'Of course!'

Velma Dinkley wasn’t sure why they had come out to Middleton.
There were rarely the sort of mysteries they usually solved there. But Fred and
Daphne had insisted. She was certain they wanted to investigate the rumours of
another group of mystery solving teens. Velma had considered that those rumours
were exaggerated at best. Ordinary teens wouldn’t be able to do the things that
were attributed to them.

“So, no one would pester him to do a sequel?” Daria
asked.
“Hmm,” the teacher began.
But then the interruption happened, as Ms. Li entered the
room. “Good morning, young people. I have a very sad announcement. The library
will be closed until further notice.”
“Great. There goes the only place I can go to be alone,”
Daria commented.
“Oh, you know that’s not true,” Jane responded.
“To raise money for repairs, the school will be
presenting a medieval fair, simulating life in the Middle Ages,” the Principal
continued.
‘That’s a great idea!’ Brittany thought.
“Yeah!” Kevin commented.
“Volunteers are desperately needed. Those who refuse to
volunteer must voluntarily purchase a ticket for ten dollars or voluntarily
face suspension. Have a nice day,” Ms Li said before leaving.
“That may be the stupidest thing I've ever heard of,”
Daria commented.

Excerpt from: Mariana
She hadn’t met one before. She looked over her quickly,
seeing that she was wearing a wetsuit version of the MIB uniform top and
nothing else, leaving the iridescent hues of the pisciform lower body visible
through the water. She quickly made eye contact. “Agent U, Right?” she asked.
The other agent nodded, while tucking some of her hair
behind her pointed left ear. “That’s right,” she said, with a slight giggle.
“Agent O said that special equipment will be provided,”
Agent M said.
“Yes. But first, I’ll fill you in more in the cafeteria,”
Agent U responded.
“Sure.”
Agent U ducked into the water and swam towards the
cafeteria. Agent M watched the floor turn transparent so that she could follow
her there easily. ‘Quite interesting,’ she thought.

Excerpt from: Mystery Incorporated in Lawndale
It proceeded well enough, but Shaggy did look down when
he was almost at the window. “Zoinks!”
“I’ve got you, Shaggy,” Velma said as she reached out.
Velma helped Shaggy through the window and Trent followed
without trouble. Scooby didn’t have much trouble, although his teeth were
chattering.
Daria looked around the room as the Trent and the Great
Dane clambered through the window. It was mostly bare, with only a closet on
the wall to the right of the window and a chest of drawers opposite. “What’s
the plan?” she asked Velma.
“It’s up to Fred,” Velma answered. “He usually comes up
with the plans.”
“I see,” Jane said.
“We’ll split up,” Fred began. “Daria, Velma and Daphne
will search this floor. Jane and I will search the attic. Shaggy, Scooby and
Trent will search the lower floor and the basement.”
“Sure,” Daria said.
“The B B Basement?” Shaggy asked.
“Yes, the basement. Trent would agree that it wouldn’t be
a good idea to do it by himself,” Fred said.
“It wouldn’t,” Trent agreed.
“Sure,” Shaggy said.
Fred opened the door and saw that the hallway was as
empty as the room. He stepped out, followed by Jane, who spotted the attic hatch.
“So, why with me?” she asked as she pulled it down.
“Either with you, Daria, or your brother,” Fred said.
“Yes! But you chose me!” Jane said.
“I thought Daria would work well with Velma and Daph, and
and I saw Trent encouraging Shag, and so…”
“Got it,” Jane said as she climbed up to the attic.
Velma lead the way out of the room after Fred and Jane
had left. “Now, this house is larger than the Lane’s…”
“That’s obvious,” Daria said.
“So, we’ll take our time looking at each room,” Velma
concluded.
