Family as fortress. With the RDA returning to Pandora, Jake and Neyteri’s family flees across the oceans to an island culture. The beginning, with RDA’s returning, was done rather well. But the film has plenty of call backs, mostly to the first film, but also to Titanic. Those are done rather well, but more on those down below. There are many storylines. Not just Jake, but also his children and the not quite returning Quarrich. More like an Avatar clone of Quarrich RDA created to get back at Jake and his insurgency.
Call backs. The one where the Blue Quarrich
comes across the remains of the original Quarrich was quite good, as were the
ones where Jake and his family learn how to connect with the sea creatures.
Overall it was almost as good as the first.
