Bolivia's ambassador continued to stonewall the negotiations, as his nation gained more territory. War had been declared on Chile by the end of the year.

In Westminster, a certain Winston Churchill claims that the next war would be instigated by a 'Rome-Paris Alliance'.
France
De Gaulle begins (or possibly continues) to build up forces.
Spain
As the Civil War continues, the socialists continue to gain support.
Italy
What protests there are against the PSNI are quashed, often violently. Reports that the PSNI's election victory the previous year may have been due to electoral fraud are also suppressed. (But the reports are published internationally nonetheless.)
Romania and Hungary
The Romanians continue to gain ground, but the situation becomes a stalemate by the end of the year.
