Madrid: In the aftermath of the war against the Scandinavians, the King and those around him decide to not fight against any of the other European powers for the foreseeable future. Rather, to rebuild from the War and prepare for further expansion in Asia and North Africa.

 

A buildup of troops in southern Italy begins. (But not in Brindisi.)

Constantinople: Reports of Spanish troop buildup in various parts of North Africa reach the Sultan’s court. He orders a troop build up in Egypt…

A troop build up begins, but well away from the border with Ottoman North Africa.
