72. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Rewatch. A strange probe has arrived at Earth,
draining power and evaporating the oceans. Spock quickly determines that only
an extinct species could respond to it. Thus, Kirk and the former Enterprise
senior officers go back in time to get some whales. The fish out of water
comedy was done very well. Especially with Kirk and Spock’s interactions with
Gillian. The environmental messaging wasn’t heavy handed at all. Overall a
rather good film. 9/10.
