Church notes - 23rd October 2022

 23rd

Psalm 150

Philippians 4:4 - 8

Revelation 20

God is in control.

We can be optimistic

Jesus reigning for a thousand years.

A picture of optimism.

Three main views

Post Millennial - Jesus returns after a thousand years of Church rule.

Pre Millennial - Jesus returns and then rules for a thousand years.

Amillennial - the passage isn't literal.

The differing views shouldn't be a source of division.

vs 1 - 3

Satan thrown in the Abyss.

Acts 12:2

Those who were martyred like James.

vs 4 - 6

The Thousand year reign is an answer to the Lord's Prayer.

For those who reign with Jesus, they didn't earn it. It is their inheritance in Him.

Isaiah 56:30

Jesus in control.

1 Peter 2:9

vs 7 - 10

Rebellion is ultimately futile.

The choice is between Repentance or Judgement.

Self indulgence is a sin.

vs 11 - 15

Hell is a witness to how aweful sin is.

This can be confronting, but we have an opportunity.

Action required. Limited time only.

We need to put our faith in Jesus and follow Him as our Lord and Saviour.

Psalm 69
