We exist to help people:

Love God

Love others

Make disciples

Let's go and do it.

Psalm 119:169 - 176

Acts 17:16 - 34

Rescue

Jesus rescued us from our sins.

What it means to us.

Paul never lost the sense of what he was saved from.

vs 16

He was distressed to see all the idols in Athens.

Are we prepared to be uncomfortable to spread the Gospel?

Are we prepared to be uncomfortable to serve God?

vs 18

Epicureans - They believed there was no afterlife and therefore lived lavish lives.

Stoics - More rational than emotional.

vs 19

Areopagus

vs 23 The Unknown God - a common ground.

vs 30 - 31

Paul spoke about repentance and judgement.

Repentance

 - a radical turn from one way to another.

 - Agreeing with God.

 - Acknowledging that you have sinned and are turning from those sins.

vs 32

Some sneared

Others said "we want to hear you again on this subject."

A few men became followers of God.

Don't become complacent about your salvation.

Prayer:

- Australia; That Australians would seek and turn to God.
