Daniel had remained in the console room. He looked at the console screen and saw a representation of the Stargate wormhole, but he didn't recognised much else. What writing there was seemed to be composed of circles. “Interesting writing system,” he commented.

“Circular Gallifreyian. The writing system of the Time Lords,” the Doctor responded.

Nina was disappointed. She then used her console to look up the Prime Directive.

Starfleet General Order One

Starfleet Personnel shall not interfere with the natural development of any civilisation, culture or society.

It reminded her of the Time Lords' own policy of non-interference, as it existed prior to the Time War. She wasn't sure how showing the ship would violate that Order thought. Of course there would be interpretations and reinterpretations over time.

At the Police Station, two people entered.

“The officer on duty looked at them. He knew both of them. One was one of those meta's who had taken to 'helping'. The other, a known thief. He knew what happened. “You know the drill,” he said to the meta.

The meta took out his licence and handed it to the officer. “Here,” he said.

The officer looked at the licence. As usual, everything was in order. He handed the licence back. “You caught him red-handed?” he asked.

“Yes,” the meta said. He cut the glass on the store window. I was driving by when I got an alert on the CCTV feed,” he said.

The Officer knew that Armidale-Dumarseq Council had given various metas who called Armidale home access to the municipal CCTV, network. “That's all I need to know,” he said with a wink. He turned to the thief, cuffs in hand. “You're under arrest for attempted break-and-enter...”

They were meeting in one of the meeting rooms in the Dubbo Branch of the Macquarie Regional Library. An agent of AMMAA and a metahuman who had recently turned 18. The latter had just filled out the form that metahumans filled out upon reaching adulthood. “Done,” she said. “But I still think this is too much information.”

“Most people say that,” the agent said with a sigh.

“Maybe they're right. Look at all the hacks of the agencies overseas,” the young meta said.

“You do have a point there,” the agent said.

“And I repeat that I still don't intend to go out and use my abilities in a way that would cause trouble.”

The agent nodded. “Many don't.”

“Both my brothers' stories were enough to turn me off the idea.”

“You can go now.”

“Thanks.”

The agent watched the young meta take her bag and go. She then took up her tablet and scanned the paperwork. She watched as the information updated in the Agency's network. She then clicked on a tab to look at the data low level agents would see.
