Chapter 6: Robots
in Sherwood
“My Gentlemen,”
Wilma said, curtsying.
Chapter 7: Into
the Kaleon
“You are not
listening to us. We're not helping you/ You would have to do it
yourself,” Clarence said.
“We could force
you,” Morgan said.
“That would be a
terrible mistake,” Clarence said.
“Why would that
be?” Morgan asked.
“We could cause it
to self destruct,” Samson said.
Chapter 8: Deep
Breath
“,
so that people can look at those places without the fear of you
cannibalising them,” Clarence continued.
“That
fear is Irrelevant,” the half-faced woman said.
“Is
it. I posit another question. Is there any original you left? If you
have replaced every part. Like some Greek guy has a ship, and over
the course of time, he replaces every piece of wood. Is the ship the
same ship? Or is it a new ship?” Clarence said. He paused to allow
the robot to think that over.
“Are
you still the same droid that survived the ship’s crash?”
“I
cannot end!” the half-faced woman cried out.
“I’m
afraid it has to. I need to save Vastra, Lenny and Straxa and
Samson's current regeneration. I don’t want to have to get to know
a version of him who looks like Lenny or something,”Clarence said.
“Explain.”
“I
don't have to,” Clarence said, as he opened the door.
“Self
destruction is against my basic program.”
“Murder
is against mine,” Clarence said as he began to sob. They then
struggled in the doorway.
Back
at the lower level of the 'restaurant' everyone had swords to their
throats. “Hold your breath, everyone. Hold your breath!” Samson
cried out.
He
crawled to the door whilst Vastra and Lenny exchanged oxygen with a
kiss.
The
robot fell out of the escape pod and became impaled the top of
Elizabeth Tower, the portion of the Palace of Westminster that
contains Big Ben.
At
the restaurant the robots deactivated. “Clarence did it!” Samson
called out.
“Very
surprising,” Vastra said.
“How?”
Samson said as he looked at the Reptilo-Man with curiosity.
“I
didn’t think she had it in her,” Vastra said.

Day
Samson
waited outside the ChroSIMuD. “You know if he survived?” he
asked.
“There
was no body in the wreck. It is highly possible that he survived,”
Vastra explained.
“I’m
not sure if I want to travel with him. I have to think,” Samson
said.
“You
are going to leave him here?” Vastra asked.
“Yes,
look after him. Steer him on the right path. Bye Vastra, Lenny,
Straxa.
“Bye,
Samson,” Lenny said. Samson entered the ChroSIMuD, which soon
vanished. “What now?”
“We
shall watch out for Clarence.
Later
that night, there was a knock at the door. Lenny opened it.
“Clarence!” Clarence fainted from exhaustion. “Vastra!”
Lenny
put Clara in the bed. “Clearly, doing in the robot has given him a
shock, possibly shell shock,” Vastra said.
“I'll
look after him,” Lenny said.
“You
don't need to,” Vastra said. “Come to bed.”
“Sure,”
Lenny said, with a smile of excitement.
Next
Day
“Please
come in,” Vastra said.
Clarence
entered the chamber. “I'm not interupting?”
“I
should be glad of your company. How are you?”

10: Darian and the Titanic
“I'm
ready,” he said as she entered the time vehicle. He placed her
supplies next to Quinn's pile of clothes and Darian's food and water.
With the five boys, it was a tight squeeze.
“The
Titanic?”
Cody asked.
“Of
course,” Stevie said.
“Entering

Chapter
11: Loneliness of Alex
'One
of those, popular boys,'
Alex thought. Not interesting at all.
Quinn
Brocklethwaite exited his mother's car. “Don't be surprised that it
takes them a while to warm up to you,” she said. He mentally
sighed. She ws completely clueless. “Hi, what's your name?” a boy
asked.
“Quinn
Brocklethwaite,” he answered.
“I'm
Stevie, Stevie Rowe,” the boy said.
“Cool,”
Quinn said.
“Will
you go out with me?” a girl asked.
Alex
shook his head at that exchange. He then noticed Quinn's brother,
making a beeline for the school buildings. His style, from the Doc
Martin boots, up to the 'manstopper' glasses seemed to say. 'Leave me
alone!'
'There's
someone who I might befriend,' Alex thought. He followed the boy into
the school.

In
Ecotopia, the war is already affecting the output of Hollywood, as
more Modern Warfare movies are greenlit. (Of course, these movies
would be considered 'quaint and romanticizing' compared to later
films.)
The
popularity of 'Age of Exploration' films (set mainly in the 17th and
18th Centuries) begin to decline.
The
Congress[1] continues to discuss the impact of the war on their
foreign policy.
Tensions
continue to rise in the Federation of Mountain Republics as the
international market for their resources doesn't pick up as they had
hoped. It doesn't help that the Nor'easterner's are already supplying
those resources in great quantity. It also doesn't help that what
little resources are sold, have to go through Nebraska, as the border
with Kansas remains closed (and the transport links with the British
Imperial Dominions and Ecotopia are few and far between).
Indeed,
Nebraska is doing well for itself, exporting excess food to areas
that need it. (Mainly shipping it through Missouri to the ECSA.)

Elias Stanton, her
boyfriend, was certainly reclusive, but she was certain that he was
as he appeared. “Say that again?” she asked, with slight
annoyance.
Roberta sighed. “I
know you're in a relationship with him, but you don't know everything
about his past..”
'Anyone who
hasseen my Netspace account would know that,' Karen thought,
regarding Roberta's knowledge of their relationship. “He doesn't
know everything about my past, either,” she countered.
“Fine!”
Roberta said with gritted teeth.
