It was quiet outside Oxley High School, as it had been over the
school holidays. Becca Henderson smiled as she got out of her car.
She wasn't sure why she had got the job at this school. All of her
pracs had been back east, in some suburb of Sydney or Newcastle.
Still she was grateful for the offer, given that there had hardly
been any others.

was a quiet day on the bridge. But it wouldn't be for much longer. An
alarm sounded. “I'm reading some kind of spatial distortion off the
port bow,” Ensign Harry Kim reported.
“What
kind of distortion?” Captain Janeway asked.
“Uncertain,”
Kim said. “It's gone. Wait, there's a Starfleet shuttle at the same
position!” he said excitedly.
Was
it a way home? “Hail them!” Janeway ordered. Of course, given the
recent incident with the Dauntless
they had to be careful...
Of
all things that went through Janeway's mind, she didn't expect to see
what happened next.
