The renewing of our minds
1. How can the idea of disciples being "learners" be used in a way that misses the point of "transformative learning"?
If you miss the point, you're just learning about Jesus.
2. What would happen to a church (and ourselves as individuals) of we ignored the fact that we are called to be 'learners' of Christ.
It would just be a social club.
Ephesians 4:17 - 24
3. What is the condition of those who have not 'learned' Christ?
4. What happens to the minds and actions of those who learn Christ?
Ongoing process. The continuing renewal of their minds.
5. What is God's ultimate goal for our transformation?
To be more like Him.
Ephesians 4:25 - 32
6. When we learn Christ, what must change in our relationships with others?
Everything
7. What motivations should drive us to change?
Ephesians 5:1 - 13
8. What will our lives look like if we 'walk in love' (v2)?
9. What will we change in our lives if we "walk as children of light" (v8)?
10. In what ways will be out of step with the world as we live this way?
11. Why is Christ's sacrifice for us motivation for such change?
12. In what way do you personally struggle to maintain this identity and live it out?
