Excerpt from: Tales of the Endeavour
“Thank you,” she said.

The ensign handed her a card. It showed her where the quarters were on the station, and information on the station;s amenities. “Let me know if you need anything.”

When Corrina arrived at the assigned quarters, she saw that her personal effects had already bben moved there. The Quartermaster Services were at their efficient best. Nothing was missing, everything was in its place. Her personality traits that had lead to her recent issues were still quite strong. The anxiety about her effects being missplaced vanished. She considered that after that therapy she shouldn't be anxious about it.

 Excerpt from: Caverns of Wingewarra
“So, what other games do we have?” Jonas asked as he placed a chess board on Kara's bench.

“We have Daniel's Holbytla Monopoly, so far,” Kara answered. “As well as my copy of Disney Trivial Pursuit.”

“Daniel would win that,” Jonas said in a slightly playful tone.

“True,” Kara said.

“And a pack of Odie playing cards,” Daniel said, taking the pack out of his pocket, placing it on the Monopoly box.

Agents!
There was a loud knock on the door. Quite strange given that Kara had a doorbell. “Someone's there,” she said.

“I'll go,” Xanthe said.

“OK,” Kara said.

Xanthe answered the door. “Hi, you realise there is a doorbell, right?”

“Is this Kara Hendrickson's house?” a man asked.

“Who is asking,” Xanthe asked. Despite it being night time he was wearing sunglasses.

The man produced a card. “Agent J. Brown. Commonwealth Detection Agency,” he said.

“I haven't heard of this CDA,” Xanthe said.

Inside, Kara was listening. “CDA! Crap!” she said, with a fearful expression on her face.

“What is it?” Leigh asked.

“A government agency,” Kara whispered. “I was involved with them in university. Something to take up the extra time.” she shed a tear.

“We're not really public,” the Agent said.

“Secret you mean,” Xanthe said. She could hear Kara tell Leigh more about what she had experienced.

“Secret, but legit,” the agent said.

“I don't care, Kara doesn't want to see you.”

“So, she is here,” the agent said.

“Oops!” Xanthe said. She slammed the door closed and locked it.

“You did your best,” Kara said, as Xanthe re-entered the kitchen.

“But I told them that you're here.”

“They would have figured that out anyway,” Kara pointed out. “How many are there?”

“Three, that I could see,” Xanthe answered.

“A difficult, but not impossible,” Kara said.

“Kara?” Daniel said.

“They can be dislodged,” Kara said.

“How?” Xanthe asked.

“The augmentations, that's how,” Kara declared.

Daniel knew what she was talking about, but he wasn't sure the others knew. “Good idea, Kara,” he said.

“We could escape that way, sure,” Xanthe said.

“What are these augmentations?” Sophia asked.

“I'll show you,” Kara said. She opened a panel next to the refrigerator, and pressed one of the buttons there. Part of the kitchen floor slid aside, showing a staircase leading downwards into a basement below.

“Interesting,” Sophia said. “You're a lady of surprises.”

“It's not a good thing,” Kara said under her breath.

Daniel nodded.

“But how does this help against those agents?” Ella asked.

Excerpt from: The Many Doctors: Chapter 35
This is facinating. Sattelite Five contains every piece of information within the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire. Birth Certificates, shopping habits, bank statements, but you three, you don't exist. No birth, no job, not the slightest kiss. How can you walk through the world and not leave a single footprint?”

Rose tried to gain Suki's attemption.

What have you done to her?” Felicia asked, after Rose failed to do so.

I think she's dead,” the Doctor said.

She's working,” Rose pointed out.

That doesn't mean she's alive,” Felicia said.

They've all got chips in their head, and the chips keep going, like puppets,” the Doctor said.

Oh, you're full of information,” the Editor said. “But it's only fair we get some information back, because apparently, you're no one. It's rare not to know something.”

Why is this happening?” McDonnell asked.

Stay here!” The Doctor said. “I mean it this time! Jump start those engines!” He left.

Felicia and Riley are stuck in an escape pod,” the Doctor said. “Be ready to help,” the Doctor said.

Understood,” Martha said.

Jettison held,” the computer said, after Riley put in a sequence.

Thank you,” Riley said.

Jettison reactivated,” the computer said.

That didn't help!” Felicia said with frustration.

There are more where that came from,” Riley said, trying to put confidence into his voice. He and Ashton fought it out via the keypads.

The Doctor arrived in Area 17. “That's enough! What do you want? Why this ship? Tell me.

“Something, evil. Recent arrival. Meglomania,” River said, her hands on her temple. “Worse than Alliance.”

“And you're reading his mind?”

River's expression then gave the EMH no doubt.

While River was aware of Dukat, Dukat knew that there were telepaths on the ship. Central Command trained its soldiers to resist telepathic intrusions. River's scan was more intense, than most, but he was able to resist it. He had earlier brushed off Granny's light touch, and also Ashoka's Force-powered attempt. (Of course, he didn't know that a Jedi, even one who survived Order 66, wouldn't force themselves into anyone's mind, like a Sith wannabee would. Star Wars wasn't among the Terran fiction that Sisko had left in his office while the Station was under Dominion control)
“As I was saying, Ziyal wouldn't be dead if the Federation hadn't launched an offensive to retake Terok Nor from it's rightful owners. Damar wasn't at fault, it was entirely Sisko's.” He could see that most of his audience wasn't paying attention. Maybe that Trump guy would listen, if he could find him.

“There are?” Felicia asked.

“Yes. I found several copies of Mao’s Little Red Book. If that got out, it could seriously alter the timeline,” the Doctor said.

The others all agreed with that assessment. “We need to investigate further,” Kellie said.

“Of course,” the Doctor said. “But very carefully.”

“Since when are you careful?” River asked.

They emerged on the top floor of Block 2. “Same as before,” Louise said. They began to search that floor.

Unknown to all the TASIS agents working at cross purposes, a figure slipped out of Deakin carrying another, smaller figure... They had failed.

James returned to the Austin Main Room, fifteen minutes after talking to Tasha. “Tasha is helping the Marie Greeners,” he said to Kristia.

Kristia sighed. “Then I won't ask her to help again. Her career in the Agency has come to a 'hiccup'.”

“Unless she changes college,” James pointed out.

“Television series?” Helia asked.

“Yes,” Sisko answered. “Every hour a different person appears, from a reality that at least one other person on the ship thinks is fictional.”

“Quite unbelievable,” Helia said.

“Yours is fictional in mine. I don't know about the others,” Sisko said.

“I have heard of a tv series called Stargate,” Watney joined in. “I don't know if it was about Atlantis, though.”

While Sisko and Watney were explaining to Helia about the situation, Dukat entered the Mess Hall. He quickly took in who was there, and how to turn the situation to his advantage. He had already been thinking about that over the past hour.

Although she was beginning to tire, Catwoman was alert. The Captain had told her about this 'Cardassian', some kind of alien dictator, and that he wasn't to be trusted. “What do you want?” she asked, knowing that Weatherwax, at least would back her up.

“What has Sisko told you?” the Cardassian asked.

“That you took advantage of your homeworld's troubles to gain power,” Catwoman answered.

The Cardassian laughed. “Is that what he told you?” He chuckled again. “Oh, Benjamin! Always believing the worst of me. Yes, that is what he believes. But it's not true! Cardassia needed me! Central Command had failed to drive the Klingons away.”

'He sounds delusional,' Catwoman thought. Before she had arrived on the Defiant, She had heard of the Klingons, but not the Cardassians.

“What Sisko may have told you, the data in this ship's computers, is wrong,” the Cardassian continued.

While Dukat was attempting to persuade those in the Mess Hall of his view of Sisko, River became aware of him. “No!” she shouted.

“What's wrong?” the EMH asked.

52 Tales of 2016: Mysteries of the Defiant - Alt Hour 18

Eighteenth Hour
Kim Pine (Scott Pilgrim)
Kim Pine was not sure why she groped for her drumsticks as she woke up. She never slept with them even when she was a child. As soon as her hand curled around a pair she felt reassured. She sat up and looked at the sticks. They looked brand new. She wondered why she had fallen asleep all dressed up. She didn't drink anymore. She wondered where she was. She stood up and looked both ways along the hallway. 'There's a Trek convention in town? But Neil and Scott together aren't smart enough to drag me down to some lame replica as a joke,' she thought.
She knew where to stick those new drumsticks if that was true though. She walked down the corridor wondering where the 'lameos' were who were supposed run around babbling in Klingon...

Kim rounded a corner and saw two schoolgirls coming towards her. She saw that one of them was Japanese, wearing a sailor girl uniform. The other was caucasian, with red hair a shade darker than hers and glasses. The two were holding hands. The Japanese girl was happy, with the other one seeming to be uncomfortable. She extended her right hand. “Kim Pine. Where the **** are we anyway?” She then stated her appreciation for the Caucasian girl's boots.

The Japanese girl grinned broadly and bowed before shaking Kim's hand. “Oh, Kim, Pine-san. I am Tomoko Kuroki of Tokyo. And allow me to introduce my friend: Commander Daria Morgendorffer, second in Command of this ship,” she said in rather good French.

The other one scowled and added, also in French. “I'm Daria Morgendorffer. And I'm not second in command of anything. The Captain trusts me, is all. You're not halluncinating, Kim. You are on the Federation starship Defiant about twenty light years from Earth. Mokocchi, er, Tomoko here doesn't speak English and no Japanese for me, so if you know it, let's stick to French. Doesn't really matter here though.”

“Enchanted, I'm sure,” Kim answered. “Sorry, I'm not buying it. Are people going to jump out of doors and shout, 'Happy Birthday'? No one cared much before. Hey, if you wanted to do a theme birthday, I'm more of an Orphan Black girl myself.”

Daria nodded. “Oh, it gets weirder and in light of a new occupant of our fair ship, curiouser and curiouser. Come on, Kim, I bet you're hungry. Tomoko and I were going to the replicators, before I go to bed. It's been Eighteen hours.” Daria yawned.

Without hesitation, Kim placed her hand in Daria's and the three young women walked along.

Elsewhere in the ship, River awoke. She remembered where she was. “Don't panic!” the EMH said.

“Holo-Doctor appeared on Voyager, not DS9,” River said.

“If you're referring to what the Captain said about Fictional people appearing on ship, my program has been installed on all Starfleet vessels, not just those in the Intrepid class,” the EMH said.

“I understand,” River said.

“How much Star Trek is there?” Greg wondered from nearby, in a tone, that implied that he was talking to himself.

River looked at him. “Greg Heffley. Wimpy Kid, early 2010s,” she said.

“Hey!” Greg objected.

“Five vid-series,” River continued, ignoring Greg's objection.

“Right, bye!” Greg said. He then ran from the Sickbay.

While Greg was running from sickbay, Magneto entered the mess hall. He approached Catwoman and Granny “Do you know where the one named, Amanda Waller, the one also refered to as 'The Wall', is? He had heard that she wanted to meet him.

“She's on the Bridge,” Granny answered.

“Thanks,” Magneto said.

WHY DO YOU WANT WALLER?” Papyrus asked.

“You won't need to know,” Magneto answered.

Granny decided to follow Magneto to the bridge...

Greg entered Engineering. He figured that he could talk to R2D2 about things that the movies didn't cover. (He had heard about the Extended Universe, but his school didn't have those books in the library.) “R2?” he asked.

He saw the Droid there, but also Ashoka. She was working on something next to the big pulsing tank in the middle of the room that he was sure was a reactor of some sort. She stopped and came towards him. “Greg, right?” she asked.

“Yes.”

“Why are you here?”

“I thought I could talk to R2, about his adventures with Luke,” Greg answered. “What were you doing?”

“You know how the engine works?” Ashoka asked.

“Not really,” Greg answered.

Ashoka pointed to the reactor. “This is a warp core. It uses antimatter to produce the power required to bend space-time to allow for Faster-Than-Light travel.”

That went over Greg's head. “Huh?”

“It's an inefficient mode of travel,” Ashoka said. “The technology in our home universe, is much more efficient.”

Greg recalled some of Star Wars, specifically The Empire Strkes Back. “You mean, what broke when the Falcon had to go to Bespin?”

R2 beeped in the affirmative.

“We could get to Earth in minutes, rather than days,” Ashoka added.

“Cool,” Greg said.

While Greg was talking to Ashoka and R2 in Engineering Magneto arrived on the bridge. Sisko had already heard Daria's report about Kim and had breathed a sigh of relief. “May I help you, Mr. Lensherr?”

“I still prefer the name I have given myself, if you don't mind, Captain.”

“Certainly,” the Captain said.

“Ms. Waller, I believe you wanted to speak with me?” the mutant asked.

“Yes,” Waller said.

“You can speak here,” Sisko said.

And so the Mutant and the government agent began to talk, while the Captain and witch listened.

Greg listened as Ashoka and R2 told them about their various adventures.

As much as Daria wanted to go to bed, she was still up, Kim was still complaining about her band...

Gyro was still wondering what Trump was up to.

Commander Helia (Stargate: Atlantis)
Commander Helia had been on Tria as the Asurans were about to destroy it. She now found herself in an unfamiliar place. Was she dead? She certainly hadn't Ascended! She looked around the dimly lit grey corridor she had found herself in. It had the feel of a starship, albeit not one that her people had built. She wondered who built it, and then saw Earth-style numbers on the doors.

“What's that?” Kim Pine asked.

Time for Waller's 'War Chief'' function. “Crichton, Waller and Yossarian, report to the Shuttlebay.” He stood up and went towards the turbolift. “You have the bridge, Ms. Tano.”

“Acknowledged,” Ashoka said, as Carsen entered the turbolift.

Miracles From Heaven Preliminary Review

Miracles from Heaven (Preliminary)
Based on the true story of Annabel Beam, a child from Texas who was miraculously healed of a debilitating illness after a near death experience, and her mother, Christy, who was willing to go to extreme lengths for her child. A really moving film, showing consequences of extreme illness on a family, especially the mother, of a victim, with a very satisfactory ending. 9.5/10

Class 1.06 review

1.06 Detained review
A fairly intriguing episode. (but the title could lead to confusion, as there is a Star Trek: Enterprise episode of the same name.) The five students are given detention by Miss Quill. But that isn't the focus. One of those cracks in space-time intervenes... A truth field and some kind of prison in a rock force them to confront their issues, with themselves and each other. This is written rather well, with each person affected differently. For instance, it is revealed that April doesn't love Ram as much as Ram loves her.
(Probably realistic, it could be a rebound from Rachel. He's still dealing with what happened in the pilot.) This is revealed well, via the prison-stone. It is also revealed that the older teens view Tanya as a child. (The rebuttal she gives April when the latter says she knows how she feels was well done.) There is also Charlie, on which the prison-stone has a different effect on than the Humans. That difference would be an obvious difference, as Rhodians have been established as quite different to Humans.
The level of guilt that Charlie has as the Prince is also well realised, as are the effects of his upbringing (as a result of his not having friends). The conclusion of Miss Quill shooting the former prisoner, thus revealing that she's no longer Charlie's slave, is an effective lead into the next episode. I'm intrigued as to what will happen. The best in the series so far. 9/10.

“I still prefer the name I have given myself, if you don't mind, Captain.”

“Certainly,” the Captain said.

“Ms. Waller, I believe you wanted to speak with me?” the mutant asked.

“Not here,” Waller answered.

“Certainly,” Magneto said. “But still in a public place, the Captain would agree.”

“Yes,” Sisko said. He had read a lot of X-Men comics when he was younger, so he knew what Magneto was like.

“In the Mess Hall?” Magneto asked.

 Excerpt from: The Kelsington Conspiracy
Of course, she knew that KI was mostly owned by the Kelsington Family, only a small portion of it was publically traded.

The agent gave a chuckle. “Naturally,” she said with a small smile.

“Maybe because they knew one of the people who were at Marie Green and noone at Austin?” Myra supplied.

“That's only one possibility,” James said.
“Go back and tell Kristia what I said,” Myra added.

“I shall!” James said. “But first, Kristia told me to get the information that the traveller has provided to Marie Green.”

“No!” Louise said. “It is for Marie Green, not Austin.”

Clara paused as she entered the TARDIS. “Sounds dangerous.”

“Very,” Susan said. “I'd rather have your help,”

Clara entered the TARDIS. “I'm coming.”

The TARDIS rematerialised less than a minute after Susan escaped. “Why would she come back?” Morgan asked.

“I have no idea, sir,” Journey answered.
Inside the TARDIS, Susan said. “The forcefield is raised. It'll be safe to go out and talk.”

“Are you sure?” Clara asked.

“Yes,” Susan said.

“Let's go,” Clara said.

She turned and looked. Some kind of crack had appeared. She had heard of the phenomenon, a fantasy author had even fictionalised it in his most popular series of novels. She jumped back.

The Doctor heard TJ scream. “I knew something would happen,” he said.

“Do you know where the one named, Amanda Waller, the one also refered to as 'The Wall', is?

Class 1.04, 1.05 Two Parter review

1.04, 1.05 Heart -two-part review
As noted in the 1.05 review, the second part comes up short. Even whether Governors are with UNIT or another organisation (Torchwood? Something else?) is in question. However, the increase in tensions between Charlie and Quill are realised quite well. The story of April and her family is also continued well. Certainly, it hasn't turned me off the series (as the third episode almost did). 8/10.

52 Tales of 2016 - The Many Doctors: Chapter 107: The Fourth Doctor

Chapter 107 – The Fourth Doctor
The Doctor was looking over the console when the Cloister Bell began to ring.
“Oh no!” He said.

“Cause of alarm, Master?” K9 (Mark II) asked.

“The TARDIS is in danger!” the Doctor said.

“Statement does not compute, Master!”

The Doctor looked at his companion. “Of course it computes!” he said.

“Explain,” K9 said. Then the Cloister Bell stopped ringing.

“Odd,” the Doctor said. He consulted the console. “It says that the TARDIS has been boarded.”

“Impossible!” K9 said.

“Not impossible, K9! Just rather difficult, and dangerous,” the Doctor said. “Come, we need to find out who it is.”

“Affirmative, Master.”

Felicia sat up after yet another journey through an anomaly, further into the TARDIS’ past. She knew one thing. She was going to miss that vegetable wearing incarnation of the Doctor. His loudmouthed companion, not so much. She didn’t know what the Doctor saw in her.

The TARDIS corridor looked exactly the same as before. There wouldn’t be much change. However she was soon surprised when a robot in the shape of a dog appeared. “The Doctor has a robot dog?”

“Affirmative. I travel with the Doctor.”

“OK...”

“K9? You found her!” the Doctor said, as he approached.

‘That’s a long scarf!” Felicia thought, not sure what to make of this incarnation. “I’m Felicia Lovell. I know that you’re the Time Lord known as the Doctor.”

“That is me,” the Doctor said.

“And I normally travel with one of your later selves.”

“I see,” the Doctor said. He wasn’t sure of this Felicia’s claim. “One of my future selves,” he repeated.

“Exactly. We had just left the Azores in 2018, after driving off a Drahvin invasion.”

“Drahvins invading Earth?”

“My Doctor was surprised to see it too.”

The Doctor thought. It should be easy to check. “Then that’s where we’re going.” He decided.

“You’re going to check the veracity of my statements? Your other future selves just believed me.”

“Other selves? How many?”

“I’m not saying.”

“OK, come to the console room.”

“Sure,” Felicia said.

The console room was similar, but not identical to, the way it would appear with the next three Doctors. The Doctor laid in the coordinates.
“Cool,” Felicia said.

“Would you like a jellybaby?”

1 October 2018
Ponta Delgada, Azores Autonomous Region, Portugal
The TARDIS materialised near the centre of the city. The Doctor activated the Scanner. “You’re right,” he said. “There are indications of Drahvin activity.”

“Good,” Felicia said, quietly.

The Doctor thought for a moment. “I can help you find him,” he said.

“That’s what all the others said,” Felicia said.

“What’s to say that I won’t succeed where they failed?” the Doctor asked.

“Worth a shot,” Felicia said, slightly cheerier.”

The Doctor set the TARDIS into motion.

Ammonia? That’s interesting,” Sabrina said.

I knew you would find it such, Sabie,” the Doctor said. “And now, we’ve locked on!”

The TARDIS materialised aboard the Rill ship. Small robots surrounded the ship. “Chumblies,” the Doctor commented.

Chumblies?”

That’s what one of my companions called them,” the Doctor recalled. He clicked his fingers, and the door opened.

Is that you, Doctor?

More or less,” the Doctor answered.

You don’t look the same, but the ship does.

That’s true.”

It is possible,” the Doctor said.

Great,” Ezri said. “You did bring a tricorder, right, Michaela?”

Of course, Ezri,” Michaela said.

You should know by now, that your Fed-tech doesn’t always work,” the Doctor said.

Of course,” Michaela said. “This universe clearly operates on different principles than ours.”

Not really,” the Doctor said. “Anyhow, let’s find my earlier self. It is possible that he may already be looking.”

Sure,” Robyn said.

They went deeper into the forest, and soon found the other TARDIS. “Here’s the TARDIS,” Ezri said.

Yes, but he could be anywhere,” the Doctor said.

We could wait inside,” Robyn suggested.

He wouldn’t like that,” the Doctor objected.

So, we wait out here?” Michaela asked. It was obvious that she was still wary of the forest.

Yes,” the Doctor answered.

She looked exactly as she did (or would) in the (small) photos provided by Amanda, except of course for the hair. They hoped that it would remain that way. “Hi,” Myra said.

“What are you doing there?” she asked.

“We're waiting for a friend,” Myra answered. It was true. They would talk to the other agent if it was possible.

“What are you doing?” Leigh asked.

“Also waiting,” the young woman said enigmatically. She looked back to the entrance of the Bistro and looked at the few students who were leaving.

“This is going to be difficult,” Myra commented quietly.

“Try asking her name,” Leigh suggested,

“We already know her name. Besides, I don't think that would be a good idea. She's already on guard!” Myra said.

Leigh thought for a moment. “Good point,” he said. There had to be another way to reassure her that they didn't intend anyting untoward.

However, another person then came out of the Bistro. It was a guy. “Right,” Myra said, ready to follow.

“Come on, 'Ella',” the guy said.

Leigh and Myra looked at each other. That wasn't her name. Not even a diminutive of either of her given names. Something else to be worried about. 'I'm not sure what it means,' Myra thought.

Excerpt from: Defiant Map Game (Alternate version of Mystery of the Defiant)

He approached Catwoman and Bender. “Do you know where the one named, Amanda Waller, the one also refered to as 'The Wall', is? He had heard that she wanted to meet him.

“On the Bridge,” Bender answered quickly.

Magneto knew that Bender was afraid of his powers. “Thank you,” he said. “Come with me.”

“Of course,” the robot said.

WHY DO YOU WANT WALLER?” Papyrus asked.

“You won't need to know,” Magneto answered.

Greg entered Engineering. He figured that he could talk to R2D2 about things that the movies didn't cover. (He had heard about the Extended Universe, but his school didn't have those books in the library.) “R2?” he asked.
