“I'm going back to
work,” Cathica said.
“Go on, then, see
you,” the Doctor said.
“It is a bit hot
hereabouts,” Felicia said.
“You could get
them to turn the heating down. Something wrong with the place?”
Rose said. “Can't they do something about it?”
“I don't know. We
keep asking. Something to do with the turbine,” Cathica answered.
“Something to do
with the turbine,” the Doctor said sarcastically.
“Well, I don't
know!” Cathica retorted.
“Exactly. I give
up on you, Cathica. Now, Rose, Felicia, they are asking the right
kind of questions,”
“Oh thank you,”
Rose said.
“Why is it so
hot?” The Doctor asked.
“One minute you're
worried about the Empire, and the next it's the central heating.”

robin (Mystery of the Defiant)
Spinelli didn't quite believe it! She was on some kind of spaceship?
That creepy Cat person had called a woman named Holly. Holly had
arrived with another woman who had given her name as Kim. They had
taken her to a room where they had machines that generated food out
of thin air! That was definitely from one of those weird shows that
Gretch watched! Star something.
“Let me get this straight,” Spinelli said. “People have been
appearing on this ship every hour?” And according to the
information in the computer records, we're all out of some stories?”

Sixteenth Hour
River
Tam(Firefly/Serenity)
Even before she opened her eyes, River knew she was no longer on
Serenity. None of the other twelve minds she could sense were
of the crew she and her brother were travelling with. She jolted
awake, and looked around. Somehow the décor looked familiar, as if
it was from some vid-series from Earth-That-Was she had watched when
she was younger. She brought her hands up to her temples. “Wrong!
Very wrong!”
Many of the minds were human, similar to those on Serenity.
However two of them were more like her, but different. The two of
them were reacting in different ways to her presence. 'Leave me
alone!' she thought to the older one. She could also sense two (or
three) different AI, one more advanced than the other two. 'Wait,
there is a difference,' She had to go to the cockpit, or Bridge. She
quickly found a turbolift. “Bridge.”
“Intruder is enroute to the Bridge,” the computer said.
“Acknowledged,” Sisko said. He hoped that something like what
happened to the previous arrival wouldn't occur. He had told Bender
to not react like that in future. The robot hadn't exactly been
apologetic.

“Good,” Linds Griffith said, seeing that his son was steered onto
the path he wanted him to go on.
The rest of the dinner was spent in silence. Both father and son were
absorbed in their own worlds. Linds was planning what he would do at
work the next day. Alex was beginning to panic about how he would
exit the Self-Esteem Class. Ms. LeBeau's New Age mumbo jumbo was
inpenetrable. 'I mean, what does 'to realize your actuality,' mean
anyway?' he wondered. He also wondered what extracurricular activity
he would take up.

“Has
there been any unusual activity here in the last few days?” the

“It's
Deja Street, there are always unsual activities.” Xella answered.
“One

neighbourhoods,” the cricket girl muttered. “I mean, unsual for
this location.”
Axel
thought for a moment. “Nothing,” she said.
