Excerpt from: Trouble in the Future v2
The reports had shown that a number of female students had gone to
the Bistro, drank heavily and then had woken up, back at their
college in a common room with no memory of the night before and their
heads shaved. Only one at a time, and it was sporadic through the
first semester of 2000, but it was obviously quite distressing to the
young ladies involved. Clearly Amanda's heart had gone out to them
when she had read about their circumstance. At least that was Leigh's
thought on the matter.
They had gone over the police report on the first occurrence that
would occur that night. According to a Marie Green TASIS agent on the
scene in the Bistro, the young lady involved had yet to leave, and
still had her fairly long brown hair. That was another commonality,
the young ladies involved all had hair of varying shades of brown.
All five agents who knew of it agreed, the creep had to be
stopped.
“We'll go over it again,” Sara said, in front of the board. “As
soon as she leaves the Bistro, we'll leave the College and intercept
her and whoever is with her.”
“Then we'll trail them,” Myra said.
“Myra and I, that is,” Leigh said, clarifying that it was Myra
and himself rather than a different group.
“Yes,” Myra confirmed.
“You'll follow them to where-ever they are going,” Emma said.
“When they enter one of the other colleges, we'll call you,”
Leigh added.
“Then Emma and I will use the Rapid Response to enter that College
and try to stop the act being committed,” Sara said.
“That's it,” Leigh said.
It wasn't until 1:50, that they got the message from the agent in the
Bistro. The potential victim had left. “Get moving,” Sara said to
Leigh and Myra.
They both nodded, and left the Main Room.
In a secluded area of the University's main courtyard, close to the
library, a portion of the lawn dropped down, revealing a stairway
downwards. Leigh and Myra emerged, then it closed. “OK, the
potential victim is still near the Bistro,” Myra said, once their
egress point had disappeared.
“Let's get there, then,” Leigh said.
“Yes.”
They approached the entrance to the Bistro/Cafeteria area. And saw
the person they were looking for.

“The information is what it is,” Kim said.
Spinelli still had none of it. “A Disney character? Give me a
break!”
“I knew you would say that,” Carsen said. “But think about
this, how else would the computer know your name?”
After a short silence Spinelli had another answer. “I don't know. I
guess that's what's happening. But I know one thing. I'm hungry!”
“Kim, show her the Mess Hall.”

of the Defiant)
“Earth that was?” Daria asked, it was obvious that whatever
fiction River came from, it would be released in her future. 'I'm not
asking the computer in her presence,' she thought. She was sure that
Captain Sisko wouldn't either.
“Humanity used up the Earth. We had to flee. Found new homes,”
River still hadn't moved from the fighting stance, next to the
dedication plaque, her eyes shifting nervously between Daria, Sisko
and the Wall.
“Interesting,” Sisko said. “We don't know who would appear
next.”
“Hour by hour the tale continues,” River said.
Daria
didn't know what to make of that. She had already suspected that
something was responsible for their predicament. From Q to Mr.
Mxyzptlk...
Both Waller and Weatherwax moved towards River. “No!” she said to
Waller. “Stay out!” she said to Weatherwax. She turned and then
fainted.
Daria ran to her. “She's still breathing,” she said.
Granny joined her. “Her mind is full of pain. She will wake again
soon.”
Sisko stood up from the Command Chair. “I'll take her to Sickbay.
You have the Bridge, Ms. Morgendorffer.”
Greg Heffley was still in the sickbay. He hadn't left after writing
his diary entry a less than ten minutes before. Then the Captain
arrived carrying someone he hadn't met yet.
“Greg, this is River, our latest arrival,” the Captain said as he
placed the girl in one of the other beds.
Greg looked at River. She looked normal. Normal compared to most of
the other people on the ship anyhow.
