Rewatch. In October 1957, a young boy named Hogarth Hughes befriends a large robot that had fallen from space. The friendship between these two was very well developed. The antagonist, Mansley was very well developed in his paranoia. The overall theme, that the Iron Giant has the freedom to chose what he is to be, regardless of his programming, was very good. Certainly topical. 9.2/10.
