Excerpt from: Daria - Brittany
“He’s been trying to keep it in check, but there was one
‘Mack Daddy’ too many and he said he’d had enough for tonight,” Jodie explained
as Brittany went off to find her boyfriend.
“Huh?” Daria said again.
“Kevin often calls Mack ‘Mack Daddy’, which he doesn’t
like at all,” Donna explained.
“The depths of stupidity of some people never ceases to
amaze me,” Daria commented.
“Same here,” Andrea said.
Brittany found Kevin ready to make a charge against one
of the gatecrashers. “Kevie!”
“Huh? Babe! These people are totally wrecking your
party!”
“I know that,” she said as she looked at the mess they
were making. “But fighting them won’t help! Go home. The Police will be here
shortly.”
“Oh man!”
“Go home!”
Jodie and Mack made themselves scarce before the Police
arrived, leaving before Kevin and the Three Js.
Brittany and Donna were at the front door as the two
police cruisers pulled up. A female police officer came up to them.
“Gatecrashers?” she asked.
“Yes,” Brittany answered. “It is the same as the last
time it happened.”
The gatecrashers were soon arrested for trespassing, but
the house was a mess.

Excerpt from: Daria – The
Youngest Barksdale
When she had left the office, Daria took out her
timetable. “Let’s see…” She quickly found the class scheduled for that period.
“Language Arts? How pretentious.”
She soon came to the class.
“New Student?” the teacher asked. He looked at his paper
work. “Oh yes! Class this is Daria Barksdale! She’s starting today. Isn’t that
wonderful?”
His overenthusiasm rubbed her the wrong way. ‘What is he
on?’ she wondered. “Hi,” she said aloud.
The class just looked at her briefly before turning back
to the books in front of them.
“Take a seat,” the teacher said.
Daria looked for a seat, but first found the teacher’s
name on the board. Mr. O’Neill. She then found her seat, between a blonde
cheerleader and a girl with short dark hair.
As the class let out, the cheerleader introduced herself.
“Brittany!” she said with a hand extended.

Excerpt from: Doctor Who – A
Time to Rest
The sheer size of it
overwhelmed her. ‘Where do I start?’ she wondered. “OK, TARDIS, some nice
relaxing reading?”
There was a subtle vibaration,
as if the TARDIS was trying to decide something. Then she could see various
shelves moving around. After a half a minute they stopped, with the ambient
background sounds returning to their previous rhythm. There was now a wide
aisle leading into the depths of the library. “Cool. Thanks TARDIS,” she said.
She walked to the aisle and looked around. ‘But how to choose?’

Excerpt from: Daria – A Lane’s
Return to Lawndale
“Oh, do I know that!” Quinn said.
‘There’s a story there,’ Summer thought. “But there is a
reason I’m here. My children…”
Quinn interrupted. “Courtney and Adrian?”
“Yes. They’re here, aren’t they?”
“They are upstairs watching TV in one of the spare
bedrooms. They are quite a handful!”
“That they are,” Summer said. “Why are you here if Jane’s
at work?”
“I usually get here early. I prefer places to be clean.”
“I see.”
Quinn Morgendorffer followed Summer up the stairs.

Excerpt from: Back to the
Future – Lorraine’s Paradox
Suddenly
something was happening. He was fading! His hand was fading faster. He could no
longer play… ‘George! Lorraine! Doc!’ Those were his last thoughts as the
ripple effect caught up with him.
Lorraine
saw Calvin literally fade and vanish. The band were shocked at what had just
happened. Lorraine herself was. ‘Was that what he had meant?’ she wondered as
the other students around her stopped dancing in response to the lack of music.

Excerpt from: Doctor Who – The
Doctor and Amanda
The Doctor emerged, followed
by two others. “Amy and Mandy, Winston Churchill.”
“Doctor, is it you?”
“Oh, Winston, my old friend.”
Winston beckoned the Doctor.
“Ah, every time,” the Doctor
said.
“What's he after?” Amy asked.
“The TARDIS key, of course,”
the Doctor answered.
“Think of what I could achieve
with your remarkable machine, Doctor. The lives that could be saved,” Winston
said.
“Ah, doesn't work that way.”
“Must I take it by force?”
